Mechanism of Radio Emission from Extensive Air Showers

Abstract

WE report here an experiment to determine the relative contribution of geomagnetic charge separation1,2 in the production of radio pulses from extensive air showers. The measurements were carried out at the Dominion Radio Astrophysical Observatory, Penticton, British Columbia, using an array of antennae and scintillation counters.
