Two domains and one RNA: a molecular threesome

Abstract

Structures of the Drosophila Sex-lethal protein with and without bound RNA reveal an unexpected mode of binding in which tripartite interactions between the two RNA-binding domains and the bound RNA generate specific, high-affinity binding.
