Nature Reviews Immunology 12, 191–200 (2012)
On page 195 of the original version of this article, under the subheading “NK cells”, there was an error in the following sentence: “The vast majority of peripheral blood NK cells are CD16+CD56low, whereas a smaller subset is CD16+CD56hi”. This sentence should read: “The vast majority of peripheral blood NK cells are CD16+CD56hi, whereas a smaller subset is CD16–CD56+”. In line with this, in Figure 2 on page 194, the two NK cell populations in the bottom right-hand corner (which were originally labelled as CD56low and CD56hi) should be labelled as CD16+ and CD16–; the CD16+ NK cells in the original figure should be labelled as CD56+ NK cells. The authors apologize for this error.
