The genius of Ettore Majorana made Enrico Fermi refer to him as the brightest physicist he had ever met. The small number of papers Majorana published does not in any way reflect their enormous influence, and only represents a fraction of the results produced by the Italian theoretician. His mysterious disappearance at the age of 31 has inspired endless stories, interpretations and hypotheses, and is still missing clear explanation even today. Salvatore Esposito, an expert of Majorana's life and works, puts together in this book (translated from Italian) the results of years of research on both scientific and personal aspects, from early life to the disappearance.
