Caspases land on APP: One small step for apoptosis, one giant leap for amyloidosis?

Abstract

Gervais et al. suggest that caspase cleavage of amyloid precursor protein (APP) may initiate a feedback loop that produces β-amyloid deposits in Alzheimer's disease.
