Seeing what Alzheimer saw—with magnetic resonance microscopy

Abstract

The search for methods to detect in vivo the histopathology of Alzheimer disease moves a step closer with a recent demonstration that amyloid plaques in autopsy specimens can be visualized with magnetic resonance microscopy.
