In 'India's changing face' ( Nature 436, 599; 2005), Jitu Mayor's name was misspelt as Major, and his informal first name was used. His formal first name is Satyajit. In 'Learning to mentor' ( Nature 436, 436; 2005), a photo caption misidentifies Hopi Hoekstra as the woman pictured. In fact, the photo is of Anne Ephrussi, dean of graduate studies at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory.
