Tetrodotoxin and Cobalt Blockade of Neuroblastoma Action Potentials

Abstract

THE mouse C-13000 neuroblastoma is a continuous line of cells having many neuronal properties including electrical excitability1, 2. We have studied the ionic mechanisms that underlie the electrical excitability of neuroblastoma cells and found that the inward currents during the action potential are carried by both sodium and calcium ions.
