Abstract
FORMATION of endomycorrhizae by vascular plants with fungi of the family Endogonaceae results in increased nutrient uptake and water transport by the hosts1,2. This study was designed to determine if host produced photosynthates are translocated to the endomycorrhizal fungus, as has been demonstrated for ectomycorrhizal associations3.
