IgD on the Surface of Peripheral Blood Lymphocytes of the Human Newborn

Abstract

Immunoglobulin determinants have been demonstrated on the surface membrane of lymphocytes in man and other species1. Immunoglobulin on individual human lymphocytes is restricted to a single class, subclass and allotype2. Here we report the occurrence of IgD on a large percentage of the lymphocytes of human umbilical cord blood.
