Abstract
CYCLIC 3′,5′-AMP (cyclic AMP) is an important regulator of cellular processes1, 2. In target cells, hormones stimulate adenyl cyclase, an enzyme which catalyses the conversion of ATP to cyclic AMP, which acts as a “second messenger” on either a membrane or an enzyme system and produces a specific physiological response. Hormonal stimulation of adenyl cyclase in several tissues has been documented2.
