VARICOCELE

A mass of enlarged veins in the spermatic cord that develops in response to defective valves

PRIMARY INFERTILITY

Describes a couple that has never conceived after at least 1 year of unprotected intercourse

SECONDARY INFERTILITY

Describes couples that have conceived spontaneously at least once, but have been unable to achieve a subsequent pregnancy
