In the December 2008 issue, the fourth sentence of the Introduction should have read “Several fetal disorders are amenable to treatment through the mother; for example, maternal glucocorticoid treatment can be used to avoid neonatal respiratory distress syndrome and virilization of girls with coital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH).”
