Launching the Riyadh Roadmap for Medical Biotechnology

Under the auspices of HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, KAIMRC gathered global leaders in biomedical science, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals at Riyadh Global Medical Biotechnology Summit (RGMBS) 2021. The forum sought to foster R&D partnerships that could develop solutions to new and existing challenges, from COVID-19 to cancer treatments and gene therapies.

“Our ultimate goal is to contribute to human well-being, to global biomedical and health research and development, and to innovation,” said Dr. Ahmed Alaskar, Executive Director of KAIMRC and Chairman of RGMBS 2021.

“This unique interactive and dynamic global gathering of key local and international players in biotech R&D will contribute to formulating what will be the Riyadh Roadmap of Medical Biotechnology in order to make the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia a gateway to a thriving biotech hub,” Alaskar added.

With a mandate from King Salman and in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, the Riyadh Roadmap of Medical vaccine development. These new developments will have unparalleled impact on our healthcare sector and our economy.

“We are especially honored to have RGMBS 2021 benefit from the privileged patronage of HRH Muhammad Bin Salman and with the participation of HRH the Minister of the National Guard, which reflects the utmost importance given by the leadership of this country to this strategic field of biotechnology,” Dr. Al Knawy added. “This strong leadership commitment and support come as no surprise as the Saudi National Vision 2030 addresses health and economic challenges by supporting and strengthening innovations and technology development among other key strategic areas defining the country’s long-term vision.”
