Stroke is a leading cause of death and disability, and in the United States, Black adults are more likely to have a stroke than are white adults. Prediction models that estimate the 10-year risk of developing stroke are widely used for screening and prevention purposes, but their accuracy across different population subgroups has not been well studied.
