FDA approves Genentech’s bispecific antibody for lymphoma

On 22 December 2022, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) granted accelerated approval to mosunetuzumab-axgb, Genentech’s full-length bispecific monoclonal antibody that targets the B cell–specific surface antigen CD20 and the T cell surface protein CD3, for adults with relapsed or refractory follicular lymphoma. The drug received conditional marketing authorization from the European Medicines Agency (EMA) in June 2022. Both agencies expect to receive follow-up information from Genentech to confirm the submitted efficacy data.
