  • Correction 21 August 2019: The story initially said that bioethicist Amy McGuire was at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. She is at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. The piece also referenced a review in the New England Journal of Medicine on people included in genetic studies of disease. It was in the journal Cell.
