T cell receptor-engineered T cells provide an opportunity to target the many intracellular tumour neoantigens, but realizing the modality’s potential requires a personalized approach that presents several challenges. In a new study, Foy et al. have combined two cutting edge approaches to develop highly patient-specific TCR-engineered T cells and conducted a first-in-human phase I clinical trial.
