Abstract
Measurements of longitudinal variations in the brightness and the latitude of the Solar System dust bands observed by the Infrared Astronomical Satellite determine the orbital elements of the particles involved. They may also allow discrimination between cometary and asteroidal models of the origin of these bands and even perhaps the zodiacal dust complex.
