Abstract
AN in vitro culture system from our laboratory which may be used to generate homogeneous antibodies to human cell surface antigens has been recently described1. Using this system, we have obtained series of antibodies which discriminate between closely related human cells1 and cell lines2. The present report defines more precisely the potential of this system by showing how it may be used to obtain antibodies to a human cell surface antigen of well-defined specificity, the histocompatibility alloantigen HLA–A2.
