Abstract
WE present findings which seem to show that in an innervated perfused electric organ preparation from Torpedo the uptake of freshly synthesised acetylcholine by synaptic vesicles is linked to the discharge of previously stored transmitter by means of at least one cycle of exo- and endocytosis.
