Structure of RNA and RNA binding site in tobacco mosaic virus from 4-Å map calculated from X-ray fibre diagrams

Abstract

The structure of tobacco mosaic virus has been solved to a resolution of 4 Å using fibre diffraction methods. The general fold of the protein is clear, the conformation may be deduced in many places, and the conformation of the RNA and its interaction with the protein can be seen.
