Sequence at the 3′ end of globin mRNA shows homology with immunoglobulin light chain mRNA

Abstract

The sequence of 52 nucleotides adjacent to the poly(A) of rabbit β globin mRNA has been determined. Striking sequence and structural homologies exist between it and mouse immunoglobulin light chain mRNA. These homologies may be common to all mammalian mRNA.
