Abstract
GLOW discharge electrolysis (GDE)1,2 has been studied mainly on inorganic compounds such as water, ammonia, and metal ions in aqueous solutions. Little study has been done, however, on the chemistry of GDE using organic compounds3–7 although experimental results indicate that the application of GDE to organic compounds is a promising area in chemistry and is especially interesting in connection with the concept of chemical evolution.
