Liquid immiscibility between silicate and carbonate melts in naturally occuring ijolite magma

Abstract

PORTIONS of the fluids and melts responsible for the crystallisation of rocks and minerals may be trapped and preserved as small inclusions within a crystal, providing much information about the physical and chemical conditions prevailing during crystallisation1,2.
