Acceleration and Injection of Highly Relativistic Electrons during the August 7, 1972, Solar Flare

Abstract

THE 3B flare of August 7, 1972, has been one of the largest of the present solar cycle and, thanks to the favourable conditions for particle propagation (the position of the flare on the Sun was 14° N, 37° W) and to the time of the day it occurred, one for which a large quantity of data is or will be available.
