Reconstruction of the South-West Pacific Margin of Gondwanaland

Abstract

New Zealand and the surrounding regions of the South-West Pacific have undergone a complex tectonic development since the break-up of Gondwanaland began in the Mesozoic. In this article, data relevant to reassembly of the continental fragments in the South-West Pacific are examined and a fairly detailed reconstruction is proposed as a basis for further discussion.
