Can a Peripheral Retinal Ganglion Cell respond Differentially to Images in or out of Focus ?


ALL modes of visual excitation are dependent on the state of focus of stimuli reaching the retina. A differential response by the ganglion cell to images in or out of focus is therefore necessary before further analysis by the visual system.
