Induction of Acetylcholinesterase Activity in Mouse Neuroblastoma Tissue Culture Cells

Abstract

TISSUE culture cell lines of neuroblastoma cells derived from mouse tumours have many characteristics of sympathetic neurones. Cells grown on a solid surface elaborate long processes which resemble axons1,2, and they contain the enzymes of catecholamine synthesis as well as acetylcholinesterase and choline acetylase1,2.
