Alluvial History of Central Mexico

Abstract

ATTENTION was recently drawn to the lack of definite pre-Würm Quaternary alluvial deposits in parts of the Mediterranean Basin and of western Asia1,2. The Central Plateau of Mexico (as defined by Ordoñez3) has since revealed a similar apparent hiatus in its geological record.
