Abstract
L-ASPARAGINASE was, until recently, thought to be a specific antileukaemic agent. It has recently been shown, however, to be an immimosuppressive agent, inhibiting antibody production1, lymphocyte transformation2,3, the graft-versus-host reaction4, and graft rejection5. We have investigated its effects in an in vitro system in which rat lymphocytes react to monolayers of mouse embryo cells, first undergoing transformation and then lysing the latter6.
