Ribonuclease V of Escherichia coli requires Ribosomes and is Inhibited by Drugs

Abstract

Ribonuclease V, a candidate for the agent of messenger RNA degradation in whole cells, requires both 30S and 50S ribosomal subunits, and is inhibited by drugs that interfere with ribosome-dependent GTPase or with protein synthesis.
