Human Brain Protein, Drugs and Dreams

Abstract

Recovery of normal sleep after drugs, like other neuronal repair processes, takes many weeks. REM sleep rebound may indicate increased protein synthesis in the brain. This article is based on a Medical Faculty lecture given at Aberdeen on January 9 this year.
