Primitive Low-energy Particle Irradiation of Meteoritic Crystals

Abstract

Observations of large track densities (109 cm−2) produced by iron-group nuclei at the surface of certain crystals and chondrules in the dark parts of gas-rich meteorites. An early solar origin of these particles is inferred.
