Discovery of a Multituberculate Marsupial Bone

Abstract

THE extinct order Multituberculata was a highly successful and the longest lived order of mammals. Multituberculate osteology is poorly known, however, because most of the fossil remains are teeth. The shoulder girdle of three scapulocoracoids1 and incomplete pelves of Ptilodus gracilis2,3, Eucosmodon sp.4,5 and Mesodma thompsoni6 have been described.
