Minimal Model for the Mechanism of Antibody Induction and Paralysis by Antigen

Abstract

Immunological paralysis occurs when one antigenic determinant binds to one receptor antibody on an antigen sensitive cell, whereas induction requires the stretching of that receptor on binding two identical determinants held together by carrier antibody.
