Effect of Sodium Transport and Vasopressin on the Respiratory Quotient of the Toad Bladder

Abstract

IT has been inferred1 that the respiratory quotient of metabolism associated with sodium transport in the toad bladder may be greater than 1.0. We have therefore directly examined the respiratory quotient of this tissue.
