Abstract
AFLATOXIN, a metabolite synthesized by certain strains of Aspergillus flavus, is known for its hepatotoxicity and its high carcinogenic property (reviewed in ref. 1). Aflatoxin is a mixture of several related compounds: aflatoxin B1 is considered to be the most active from a biological point of view2.
