Abstract
MURINE tumours of syngeneic origin sometimes show deficient growth when transplanted in F1 hybrids of the parental strain and some other strain. This has been found with immunologically competent tissue tumours1,2, sarcomata induced by carcinogens3,4 and spontaneous mammary carcinomata3, but must not be considered as a general feature of all murine syngeneic tumours (ref. 5 and personal communication from H. D. Suit).
