Mitotic Recombination in Conidiophores of Verticillium albo-atrum

Predictions based on cytological observations on conidiophores have been confirmed by genetic tests on conidia. The complementary products of individual mitotic crossovers can frequently be recovered, and this organism is shown to have an unusually high frequency of mitotic recombination.
