Phagocytosis by Human Neutrophils

Abstract

It is extremely difficult to create suitable conditions for the investigation of phagocytosis in vitro. A method for comparing uptake of opsonized and unopsonized particles has been developed. It involves the use of monolayers of human neutrophils and mushroom spores.
