Abstract
THE concentration of copper in herbage plants varies considerably between species1,2, clovers and many weeds tending to higher levels than grasses. Concentrations of copper generally decline with advancing maturity3,4 although some workers have found increases in legumes during considerable periods of the growth phase4. Tho copper concentration in plants is considered to be largely unrelated to the soil copper content and to the soil reaction5, although at high pH. soil copper may become less available6.
