Abstract
INFRA-RED studies of the extraction of beryllium (II) and iron (III) from aqueous solution by di-(2-ethylhexyl)-phosphoric acid (HDEHP) and its deuterated analogue (DDEHP) in cyclohexane and carbon tetrachloride indicate that in the species Mn+ (DEHP)n (HDEHP) n (I) the hydrogen bond is symmetrical.
