Synthesis of Substituted Phenyl-β-D-xylo-pyranosides (II)

Abstract

IN a recent communication we reported the synthesis of a series of mono-substituted phenyl-β-D-xylosideacetates through the Helferich condensation and that of the corresponding β-D-xylosides by catalytic deacetylation with sodium methoxide1.
