Wall Thickening in Callitris glauca R. BR.

Abstract

SOME species of the genus Callitris exhibit in varying degrees a special type of thickening of the cell wall in the vicinity of the bordered pits of tracheids. This ‘callitroid thickening’ (Fig. 1) is diagnostic, and was noted by Patton1 and was also described by Jane2.
