The buffer was prepared as follows: Semicarbazide—HCl (3.32 g) was dissolved in 200 ml. of 0.1 N sodium hydroxide. Then 1 part of this semicarbazide solution was added to 2.5 parts of 0.2 N sodium hydroxide and 7 parts of 0.1 N glycine in 0.1 N sodium chloride.
