Abstract
CHANGES in the nucleic acid metabolism during the embryonic development of the sea urchin may occur at defined stages1–9. Thus it should be possible to refer this metabolism to steps of embryonic differentiation. However, the investigations are either incomplete or based on inadequate techniques.
