Ultrastructure of Pityrosporum ovale and Pityrosporum canis

Abstract

A RECENT paper on the ultrastructure of Pityrosporum orbiculare1 prompts us to mention some of our electron microscope observations on the structure of various isolates of two other species of the Pityrosporum genus of yeasts. These are P. ovale and P. canis, which have been isolated from human skin and dog ear infections, respectively.
