Abstract

RECENTLY many viruses belonging to different varieties of groups have been identified as having anomalous structures of nucleic acid, including a double-stranded structure of RNA in reoviruses and in the virus of plant wound tumours1,2. Our investigation of nucleic acid preparation of Sendai virus pertaining to the group of large para-influenza viruses and containing RNA3,4 has shown that among animal viruses reoviruses are not an exception.
