Abstract

RECENT work has shown that leucocytes both of animals1–5 and of human beings6–8 possess histo-compatibility antigens which they share with other tissues. For this reason leucocyte tests both in vivo and in vitro have been used to determine the degree of compatibility between prospective donors and recipients of tissue grafts.
